SCS SB 227 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

SPONSOR:  Engler (Kuessner)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation by a vote of 16 to 0.

This substitute designates a portion of State Highway M, within
the city limits of Irondale, in Washington County as the "Trooper
Robert Kolilis Memorial Highway."

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2006, FY 2007, and
FY 2008.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the designation will be a
fitting tribute to the trooper.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Engler.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
